full of a richness that can only be imagined. 
They are extremely sensitive creatures, full of  passion and a desire for happiness,
not only for themselves...
but for all they encounter along the way.
BEWARE:
 Do not betray or hurt one,
for the tears  and anguish  of a Mermaid are said to  leave immense heartache in those foolish enough to have caused them.
Mermaid's are also said to cast a spell of emptiness that may never again be filled,
upon those who cause pain and suffering.

The lucky ones that seek out the curious land dwellers
sometimes make bargains, so that they too can play with humans on land. 
Running and playing in the sunshine, or enjoying the moonlight...

but eternally longing to return to the pleasure of  splashing in the freedom of the water.

Mermaids have been seen throughout the years by many a sailor at sea, or even by those lucky enough to catch a glimpse of them as the swim ashore and sunbathe on the rocks, or sit on the shoreline watching the moonlight dance upon the surface of their home.

Mermaid's often choose quiet natural cubbyholes of beach, 
in which to spend secret time on land to relax or make the transformation.
