How to Romance and Woo a Mermaid
Mermaid's love attention... shower her with exotic trinkets that sparkle and shine...send lush beautiful bouquets of flowers  (never let her be out of flowers!) Mermaid's like to be surrounded by beautiful things... Chocolates, mmm rich dark yummy chocolates... Godiva is your best bet :)  Mermaid's need to know they are appriciated and desired... lest they swim away.

BEWARE:
 Do not betray or hurt one,
for the tears  and anguish  of a Mermaid are said to  leave immense heartache in those foolish enough to have caused them.
Mermaid's are also said to cast a spell of emptiness that may never again be filled,
upon those who cause pain and suffering.

The lucky ones that seek out the curious land dwellers
sometimes make bargains, so that they too can play with humans on land. 
Running and playing in the sunshine, or enjoying the moonlight...

but eternally longing to return to the pleasure of  splashing in the freedom of the water.

Mermaids have been seen throughout the years by many a sailor at sea, or even by those lucky enough to catch a glimpse of them as the swim ashore and sunbathe on the rocks,
or sit on the shoreline watching the moonlight dance upon the surface of their home.

Mermaid's often choose quiet natural cubbyholes of beach, 
in which to spend secret time on land to relax or make the transformation.
